Embrace

This year has sparked such personal growth in not just my life, but in my work as well. Especially in the projects and collaborations that I accept and pour my heart into. Last year my illustrations revolved around taking a rape survivor and attempting to transform the way she viewed her body through photography and artworks. It was such an intimate process and it’s one of my biggest passions in life. To be able to use my art platform to initiate honest, raw conversations not just between women in general, but to those secret conversations taking place in our minds as well.

Wedding Invitations

If you had to visually translate my heart, this would be it. It is my humble opinion that a physical invitation is a gift that you offer to all of your loved ones that will make the time to attend your wedding, travel very far sometimes and most likely have to spend quite a bit of money. It is a first glimpse of what they can expect and a beautiful way to invite them to get excited about the celebrations to come. It’s a costly thing that is mostly ignored nowadays, but it is something that is deeply meaningful to me and there’s nothing I love more than receiving beautiful post amidst all the usual bills.

Tales of Table Mountain

It’s your city. It’s your mountain. Get lost in it. This ethereal interpretation of the 7th World Wonder captured through contour studies in ink will transport you away from your busy life to that place of deep, inner calm we often only find in nature. The aesthetics of this piece strikes that precarious balance between the minimalist and abstract.

Langkloof Roses Estate

I met the lovely Anzel of White Kite Studio sometime last year and she asked me to be one of the sponsors for her upcoming Pink Party Workshop. Happily I sent off some of my Wander Collection limited edition fine art prints to be gifted to the attendees along with a selection of other local brands. Antoinette, owner of the beautiful Langkloof Roses Estate, attended the workshop and fell in love with her new fine art print. She later contacted me to come visit her at the breathtaking Langkloof Roses Estate wedding venue just outside of Wellington in the Western Cape. The plan was for me to get a feel of this venue before I handcrafted a commissioned original artwork to visually represent the beauty of the venue and to create a fine art print collection from the original drawing that would be gifted to each bride that celebrated her wedding with them.
